 PROJECT 2A - PRODUCTION SHOOT

 Task Delegation

In week 5, we had the opportunity to get to know our group members and discuss task delegation. I chose to take on the role of art director and also assist Yi En with sound.

Fig Task Delegation, Week 5

As the art director, my responsibilities included discussing wardrobe choices with the director to ensure the actor's attire matched the character's appearance. Despite this, I prepared the necessary props, including a bag needed for one of the scenes. Additionally, I handled the makeup for the actor on the day of filming.

 Filming

On the day of filming, I helped adjust the lighting and assisted Yi En with the sound whenever she needed. During this process, I realized that adjusting the lighting was not an easy task, as the placement significantly affects the outcome. It required careful positioning and selecting the appropriate brightness and color to achieve the desired effect.

 Editing

I began by sorting the footage and audio, then importing everything into Adobe Premiere Pro. Since our tutor encouraged us not to follow the storyboard's order, I experimented with various sequences to discover which arrangement could yield the most interesting outcome.

Next, I began the process of color correcting the video clips and applying color grading using the six combinations provided by our tutor.
